AP, September 28, 2008, BERLIN (excerpts) _ Germany’s foreign minister has welcomed a new U.N. resolution on Iran as a sign of international unity and has urged Iran to give up on nuclear “adventures.”
Frank-Walter Steinmeier says the resolution approved unanimously by the Security Council on Saturday “shows that the international community continues to stand united.”
Steinmeier said in a statement Sunday that Iran has much to gain from cooperating _ “but it must finally give up on nuclear adventures.”
