Iraqi Deputy Premier calls for an end to Iranian intervention in Iraq

Iraqi deputy Premier, Barham Saleh called the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq a cause of instability in the region, and urged Iran to stop its meddling, al-Asharq al-Awsat reported from Davos, on Jan. 30.
Saleh said: “I had a meeting with Mottaki, Iranian foreign minister, and I emphasized that Iraq must become a democratic country and all kind of interferences from outside in internal affairs of Iraq is a violation of its sovereignty and will result in continuity of instability in the region. Therefore it is not helpful for Iraq and region.
