Rasem al-Akidi, advisor to the Diyala Province governor in Iraq emphasized on the necessity to implement the European Parliament plan to resolve the issue of Camp Ashraf.
“This plan protects Ashraf residents against any kind of aggression until the fate of these refugees and their dilemmas are finalized,” al-Akidi said.
“Numerous humanitarian organizations have called for services and assistance to be provided for Ashraf residents, asking the Americans to play their role in creating a safe haven and deliver protection for them,” he added.
“US forces have refused to rise to their obligations regarding Camp Ashraf residents’ protection,” the advisor said.
