The Iranian regime’s radio and television apparatus, whose chief is appointed directly by Khamenei, announced it has no problems conducting interviews with the heads of the judicial and legislative branches, but they will be doing the interview with Rouhani in a new method.
Darabi, deputy chief of Iran’s TV channels, issued a statement saying for Rouhani’s interview “three anchorman that meet the conditions” have been introduced to Rouhani’s office, adding the name of the anchorman will be announced after reaching an “agreement” before the interview.
“Regarding the two other branches, due to the fact that there is no particular issue on the table, the interview will be conducted similar to previous methods,” the statement said showing the deep rifts in Iran’s political circles.
On the other hand, the “Iran” daily belonging to Rouhani’s cabinet said a video clip has been published showing TV anchormen coordinating their questions with Ahmadinejad beforehand.
This daily also reiterated that Zarghami, Khamenei’s appointed man in the TV/Radio apparatus, has not accepted Hassan Rouhani’s request to choose the anchorman for his interview.
