Tehran: A group of car owners protested city police extortion by tearing up traffic fines collectively

Shop owners and visitors who have parked their cars on the side of one of the streets in Tehran reacted angrily to a traffic police who had written a series of fines to all cars parked on this street. Car owners and drivers collectively took the stack of fine to the police who was still writing new fines and tore them up right in front of him. They said we are not going to fill your pockets with bully money.
The government of Iran has been notified its agencies to try to collect as much money as they can to replace the budged lost due to sanctions and plummeting oil prices.
