The Afghan daily Vissa on Jan. 2 wrote that the Deputy Commander of International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in south of Afghanistan, Marcus Hines said the Afghan militias receive their arms from Iran.

The daily cited him as saying: We have documents that indicate the weapons for Taliban comes from Iran into Afghanistan.

Last week also the Canadian Defense Minister, Peter Mackay announced that Iranian regime provides arms and military equipment for the Taliban group.
