British pipe company accused in Iran end run

The Washington Times reported that, “A British pipe supplier is accused of violating U.S. economic sanctions against Iran by trying to ship pipes from suppliers in Texas and Georgia to an Iranian gas field development project, court records show.”

the report added: Proclad International Pipelines “knowingly and willfully” tried to export alloy gas pipes to Iran from U.S. suppliers without permission from the U.S. government, federal prosecutors in Washington said.

Charging documents filed last week in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia said the company hired Houston-based PA Inc. and an unidentified Georgia business to ship nearly $300,000 in specialty pipes to Iran.
