Abu Azzam al-Tamimi, general advisor of Iraqi Awakening Councils’ affairs, called the Iranian regime the main threat of Iraq.
In an interview with Al-Sabah al-Jadid daily, he said: Presently the threat of the Iranian regime is the threat of life and death. The Arab politicians and intellectuals and reporters should reevaluate the priorities and the greater threat and to understand the challenges we face presently; If there is someone who says the US is the threat, I would say the Iranian regime is the greater threat.
Abu Azzam al-Tamimi added: Al-Qaeda in Iraq carries out the Iranian regimes plans in a high level coordination with the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence (MIOS); one of the most important objectives of this coordination is assassination of the Awakening Council’s commanders; as everybody knows the Iranian regime doesn’t want stability in
Iraq because as long as the Americans are facing problems in Iraq they wouldn’t pressure the other countries; firing Iraq is to reduce pressure from the Iranian regime; this is the Iraqi people who pay the price of reckoning of the Iranian regime with the US.
