Workers of a sugar purification factory of the Dehkhoda Agricultural Company in Iran’s southwestern Khuzestan Province staged a protest gathering during Ahmadinejad’s visit the province capital, Ahvaz.
Ahmadinejad, who had traveled to Ahvaz to open this factory, faced an angry crowd of workers who had not received their salaries for nearly two years.
The protesting workers held posters before Ahmadinejad written, “We are hungry. We haven’t been paid for 22 months.”
