The suppressive authorities of Urumia prison have cut off the phone lines to and from the prison to prevent information about the condition of hunger striking pol. Prisoners from leaking. The phones have been disconnected since Saturday Nov. 29th. This due to the spread of unrest and protest to other cities and prisons where so far a number other prisoners in the country have joined the hunger striking prisoner.
To the time of this report, 29 prisoners in Urumia are in hunger strike protesting the mixed prison cells with common criminals. The names of these prisoners have been announced.
