Monday, October 10th marked the 170th day of the Geneva sit-in staged by families of Ashraf residents and supporters of the Iranian Resistance outside the UN European Headquarters.
The participants on this day held their sit-in like other days and also took part in a march calling on the UN to guarantee protection for Ashraf. The demonstrators particularly called on UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay to end the silence and respond on the issue of protection for Ashraf. Ashraf residents’ family members also sought measures by the UN and the international community to prevent yet another probable catastrophe in Ashraf.
