Argentina Welcomed Interpol decision to Issue Arrest warrant of Iranian Officials

Reuters cited the Argentine’s Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement: “This step confirms the international community’s majority support for helping the Argentine justice system solve this terrible crime”.

In Buenos Aires, the judge in charge of the bombing case said the decision was a success for Argentina, but acknowledged the Iranians could only be arrested if they left their country.
“I understand that the majority of them are in Iran and they will not be leaving Iran,” Rodolfo Canicoba Corral, a federal judge, told local television.

The Argentine top circulated daily Clarin wrote the Interpol’s decision to issue red warrant for Iranian officials is another step for fighting international terrorism.

Meanwhile on Nov. 9, the Associated Press reported that in a statement, U.S. Ambassador to Argentina Earl Anthony Wayne called the vote a ’critical step in international efforts in the fight against terrorism.’
