In the Iranian capital Tehran, while thousands of teachers were holding a demonstration in front of the Parliament, in another location, hundreds of also teachers held a rally protesting their poor living condition and low wages.
Protesters in front of the ministry of Education were holding placards and posters reading: “Do the Parliament members have to go through classifications too?”, “Mr. Rouhani, the health and education has not been found” (this is referred to a President Rouhani during his presidential campaign holding a big wooden key in his hand saying if he is elected, all the problems would be solved and he has the key to all the problems in the country).
Other slogans were “decent living conditions is the right of all teachers” and “Teachers are alert and are weary of discrimination.”
