The humanitarian situation in Camp Ashraf required the appointment of a European advisor, former Iraqi MP Shazi al-Abousi said.
“The urgent necessity of such a measure led the European Union to take action on this subject,” she added. “The Iraqi government cannot on its own take action on the case of Camp Ashraf residents. In fact, it needs other parties such as the UN and EU to resolve this issue.”
