Nouri Maliki government spokesman Ali Dabbagh stressed on his government’s continued support for the bloodthirsty Syria dictator Bashar Assad.
“Iraq will not recall its envoy from Damascus and is against making the crisis in Syria into an international issue,” he said. “We reject the Arab League’s policy on this subject.”
In other news, the Syria Revolution Coordination Union issued a statement describing the Iraqi government’s stance as in-honorable and unbelievable.
It is worth noting that Maliki’s government on Saturday gave an abstain vote to the suspension of the Syrian government’s membership in the Arab League.
