Asharq Al Awsat published an article on January 6th on an official US report revealing Iran has 30,000 intelligence agents across the globe carrying out top-secret secret tasks from Lebanon to Argentina, including spying, terrorist bombings, political assassinations and stealing cyber intelligence.
According to this report Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) doesn’t only support Shiite movements across the world. In fact, it has expanded its relations with many Sunni organizations including al-Qaeda and its numerous branches throughout the world.
MOIS provides logistical and financial support for these elements while the Revolutionary Guards supervise field operations, the report adds.
