The Association of Independent Iraqi Jurists in Defense of Human Rights announced in a declaration: “The Association of Independent Jurists calls on the UN Representative and his organ (UNAMI) to take up to their responsibilities in protecting Ashraf. We also want US forces to live up to their duties under international laws and to prevent the violation of international laws and conventions that guarantee the protection of Ashraf.”
