Ceremony commemorating the executed political prisoner Mohammad Ali Haj-Aqaii

On Friday, January 28th, a ceremony was held commemorating the political prisoner Mohammad Ali Haj-Aqaii, recently executed by the Iranian regime. People remembered this brave martyr by singing a patriotic Iranian song which he had asked for before being taken to the gallows.
The Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) refused to hand over Haj Aqaii’s body to his family and buried him at night time in Aznaveleh, his village birthplace. Under orders issued by the MOIS, the regime’s governor of the village district was summoned and briefed to take certain measures to prevent any kind of gathering during Haj-Aqaii’s burial last Wednesday night. The orders were as follows: “It is scheduled to have Mohammad Ali Haj- Aqaii buried tonight in his village. No resident has the right to come out of their homes and cause any disturbance, and Haj-Aghaii’s family will be informed afterwards.” Members of Haj-Aqaii’s family and close friends immediately gathered at his resting spot, paying their respects under snowfall.
