As Reuters first reported on Monday, “Iran has signed a deal to sell Iraq arms and ammunition worth $195 million dollars…a move that would break a U.N. embargo on weapons sales by Tehran.”
The White House is not exactly enamored with the idea.
“Any transfer or sale of arms from Iran is in direct violation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution,” said White House Press Secretary Jay Carney during a briefing today.
