In a flagrant confrontation against Ahmadinejad, the mullahs’ Energy Commission inside the parliament expressed its opposition to the merger of the ministries of Oil and Energy previously announced by the regime’s president.
“All members of the Energy Commission are against the merger of the ministries of Oil and Energy,” state-run media cited Energy Commission speaker Emad Hosseini. “With support from all its members, this commission will stand against this issue of merging the key and sensitive Ministry of Oil with another ministry that will ultimately weaken the Oil Ministry.”
