A mother of a Dervish inmate said in an interview posted on the Internet: “… we have come to say arrest us and take us to jail, too; or go and see what their [Dervish inmates] demands’ are. It has been more than 16 days now that our loved ones have been on hunger strike. They brought us to religious centers, from 2 month and 9 month old infants, to even 70-year old women. They attacked us, the women, with electric shockers, batons, and they dropped us off at a religious center in Qom. They have kept us waiting from the early morning hours, and we have sat in the vans saying to them take us to Evin Prison. They themselves don’t know what they are going to do with us. Now they are saying we are ISIS members (!). In the past they would say we are thieves; now they say ISIS.”
