
Kurdish political prisoner Zeinab Jalalian, in her eight year behind bars, is suffering from severe eye illnesses and may lose her sight. However, she is still banned from her weekly visits.
This political prisoner been placed under intense pressure during the past few years by the notorious Ministry of Intelligence agents. She has time and against launched hunger strikes protesting her conditions, and according to prison physicians she must undergo eye surgery and may go blind if she doesn’t.
Jalalian was born in 1982 in the city of Maku, northwestern Iran, and was arrested in 2007 by Kermanshah Intelligence Department agents. She was first sentenced to death and then lessened to life in jail.
MOIS agents have to this day not announced any verdict to this political prisoner and she remains in limbo behind bars.
