Political prisoner Arzhang Davoudi was transferred back to Gohardasht Prison in Karaj on Monday, after being hospitalized for over 24 hours at a Tehran hospital, yet receiving no medical care at all. He was returned to prison while on a stretcher. The reason why no medical care was provided has been described as the prison’s previous debts to the hospital.
To deny any responsibility, Ministry of Intelligence interrogators had him transferred to a hospital while in very dire conditions, and yet he was returned to jail under the pretext of the prison not paying its previous debts to the hospital.
This political prisoner suddenly went unconscious on Monday and was transferred to a medical center outside the jail.
