Al-Rafedein TV, 11 Oct 2013 – Coinciding with Friday’s demonstrations, Maliki’s forces enforced intense security measures in Baghdad by closing many roads, especially those leading to the Karkh and Green zones.
As a result people were forced to reach the demonstration sites on foot. Other vehicles that were on the streets prior to these measures were stuck in a siege of security checks. Maliki’s forces also stopped vehicles in adjacent roads leading to the Green Zone.
