Al-Iraqiya leaders’ meeting in Mosul reiterated no-confidence vote in Maliki

Asharqiya TV, June 9, 2012 – In a meeting in Mousel, Al-Iraqiya leaders reiterated vote of no-confidence in Maliki as a national Iraqi plan and by pointing out the Iranian regime’s demoniac efforts to stop this process and keeping Maliki in power, warned against any foreign meddling in this regard.
Al-Iraqiya leader Ayad Allawi said: “Al-Iraqiya is unified on vote of no-confidence against Maliki. Al-Iraqiya partners in Sadr movement and Kurdish coalition are progressing in this path.
We addressed vote of no-confidence which is based on constitution and a peaceful lawful process. We are insistent on this issue and our partners in this political process be it Sadr movement, Massoud Barzani in Kurdish coalition and national figures who are with us are moving forward.
I warn all of the countries, whether far or near, regional or international not to meddle in Iraq’s affairs, since the Iraqi people are united against any foreign intervention.”
Dr. Saleh Mutlak, Iraqi deputy premier, said: “this project is beyond any sectarian, political, ethnic or even party interests’ tendencies; it is not originated by foreign countries and so far it has not been influenced by any particular regional or international country.” The objective is to emend the policy of the government in the past years that has caused capture of innocent Iraqis and has threatened Iraqis dignities, he added.
Parliament speaker Osama Nujaifi said: “I won’t back up from my principles and won’t reconcile, not in current situation or in the future. This is a pure Iraqi decision and we won’t allow foreign meddling. There are dire efforts to keep the situation as it is and to seduce people.”
Parliament speaker added: Did we build the army to be used by one man or party or we made it to defend the country without politician’s influences?
