Syria: Hezbollah members moved from Dera’a to Ghouta to defend Damascus

Free Syrian Army fighters reported the Assad army is transferring Lebanese Hezbollah militants from Dera’a Province to areas around Damascus, especially Ghouta, Al Arabiya website reported. These movements are aimed at preventing a probable defeat for Assad forces in the East Ghouta area.
Assad forces have transferred a large amount of ammunition and a number of Hezbollah battalions to East Ghouta from other fronts where they were battling Syrian fighters, these sources said.
These movements by Assad and Hezbollah troops are taking place after Syria fighters announced a campaign to liberate areas around Damascus. The battle for East Ghouta intensified when the fighters were able to take control over the Damascus-Homs International Highway, cutting off connections between Damascus and the Harasta district.
