Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran paid hommage the memory of Mr. Claude Cheysson, for his courage and leadership while serving as Minister of External Relations of France under the Presidency of Mr. François Mitterrand adding that he will remain as one of the masterpieces of French diplomacy that will never be forgotten.
Mrs. Rajavi continued: Cheysson had a deep knowledge of the danger of fundamentalism and the reactionary rulers in Iran.
 This is why he directed French diplomacy in an enlightened attitude against the religious fascism ruling Iran.
Paying tribute to this man of integrity, Mrs. Rajavi presented her condolences to the family of the late foreign minister, to the French people as well as the President of France, François Holland.
