Rishad Shir’abi, spokesman of the Resistance Coordination Council in Ta’izz said attacks are underway inside the city and efforts to retake Ta’izz airport will be launched soon, Al Jazeera TV reported on Wednesday, August 18th.

“Houthi militants are fleeing and retreating from Ta’izz and soon the resistance will be in control of all cities,” he added. Shir’abi said operations are advancing slowly due to the landmines placed by the Houthis.
“The militants have completely mined all areas around the presidential palace and Base 35,” he said

Popular resistance forces are also advancing towards Port al Mukha in western areas of the province
