During a 3-day festival held in Italy by the Center for Higher Studies in the Fight against Terrorism and Political Violence, speakers condemned human rights violations by the Iranian regime and called for widespread sanctions and the discontinuation of economic and political relations with the dictatorial mullahs ruling Iran.
The Center for Higher Studies in the Fight against Terrorism and Political Violence was founded in Italy in memory of the honorable martyr of the Iranian Resistance Mohammad Hossein Naqdi, representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). This center, in cooperation with the cultural staff of the university in the city of Pemezia, Rome’s main university the Sapienza University, and due to the great efforts of Senator Calvi, head of the Center for Higher Studies in the Fight against Terrorism and Political Violence, held a festival from September 24-30. This program, titled The International Human Rights Festival, was held in the campus of University of Pemezia.
This conference condemned the continuous violation of human rights in Iran, including the vicious and inhumane sentencing of stoning, and stressed on the enforcement of all-around sanctions and discontinuation of economic and political relations with the anti-human clerical regime ruling Iran.
Ms. Shahrzad Sho’le, head of the Society of Democratic Iranian Women, supporter of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, was among the many speakers at this festival. She said, “Rest assured that until this regime is in power, stoning, torture and execution will continue.”
“Ms. Farah Vazehan has been sentenced to death for visiting her child in Ashraf,” she emphasized, citing documents published by the Iranian Resistance regarding recent death sentences issued by the Iranian regime for relatives and family members of the Mojahedin residing in Camp Ashraf. “Others sentenced to death have similar crimes.” She asserted that the Iranian people’s only solution to freeing themselves from the nightmare of the Iranian dictatorship lies in the downfall of this regime by the Iranian people and Resistance, going on to explain the subjects of the NCRI’s plan for tomorrow’s Iran.
On the sidelines of this conference, supporters of the Iranian Resistance held a photo exhibition covering the Iranian Resistance’s activities. Also at this conference, a short film was shown in honor of martyr Mohammad Hossein Naqdi, NCRI representative in Italy, and to express gratitude for the Pemezia University.
