Sari:

Students at Payam-e Noor University in Sari, northern Iran, clashed with the Basij militias and security forces that attacked their gathering on Sunday. The security forces brutally beat the protesters with batons and used water cannons to break up the demonstration. 4 demonstrators were arrested and taken to an undisclosed location.

Kurdistan:

a group of people and families of student in Marivan, western Iran, staged a demonstration in front of the city hospital. On Sunday, Dec. 8 scores of students were rushed to the hospital affected by the poison gas leaking from a broken gas pipe that runs through the university. The demonstration was to protest the authorities preventing proper care given to the victims.

Ahwaz:

Two political prisoners were transferred on Saturday, Dec. 7th to an undisclosed location from Karoon Prison in Ahwaz. There is a fear of an eminent execution hanging over their heads. Hashem Shaabani-nejad, poet, web logger, Arab literature teacher and a post graduate student in political science and, Hadi Rashedi, chemistry teacher and a master degree in chemistry were sentenced to death by the Mullahs’ judiciary. They are charged with propaganda against government.
