Iran: Retired workers in northern city stage anti-government protest

Retired workers of a hemp company in Iran’s northern city of Rasht staged a rally protesting the mullahs’ plundering and cruel policies, the Herana website reported citing state-run ILNA news agency.
“I am a laborer and I retired after 21 years of working experience. However, our retirement benefits are not being paid. I have a child and when schools open soon I don’t have the money to buy my child even a pair of shoes and a new school bag,” one worker said in this gathering staged on September 6th outside the regime’s governorate building in this city.
According to state-run media, the retired workers of this factory demand around $1.6 million in delayed benefits.
