U.S. Deputy Press Secretary Tony Fratto announced that one of the goals of President Bush’s trip to East European countries is discussion over missile shield plan against Iranian regime’s threats.
He said that although the Bush’s presence in the NATO summit was aimed at confronting different threats in the Middle East, but one of the important issues were the missile shield plan.
Fratto added that George Bush tries to set an effective strategic framework with Russia for implementing the missile shield plan. He also said that the plan is no threat to Russia, rather US goal is to confront the outlaw regimes like the Iranian regime that try to raise the range of their weapons as far as Europe.
