Families of Ashraf residents and supporters of the Iranian Resistance continued their sit-in on Sunday, September 11th, outside the UN Headquarters in Geneva.
Protesters marched and chanted slogans in support of Ashraf residents’ rights, calling on UN officials to assume their protection by stationing an international monitoring team in the camp. On the verge of the 18th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, protesters set up a photo exhibition illustrating pictures of human rights violations in Iran and the April 8th attack by Maliki’s forces against Camp Ashraf. This exhibition was widely welcomed by the Swiss people. People took part in the rally by signing a petition in support of Ashraf residents and in condemnation of Maliki’s crimes.
