Ministers belonging to the Iraqiya Coalition boycotted today’s Council of Ministers’ meeting, Al Sumariya TV reported on Tuesday.
This measure took place to protest the government’s neglect regarding people’s demands. Iraqiya Coalition ministers had threatened before to boycott cabinet meetings if Maliki’s government refuses to respond to demonstrators’ demands.
Iraq has been engulfed with huge rallies and demonstrations continuing for over a month demanding sweeping reforms and in many cases Maliki stepping down.
