On May 17, 1954, the US Supreme Court, by releasing a verdict, called separation of black and white schools unconstitutional. Until then blacks weren’t allowed to take part in white schools. The US Supreme Court had asserted in its verdict that separation of schools, no matter for what reason, would intrinsically create inequality; whereas the US Constitution emphasizes explicitly on equal, free and compulsory education of primary and secondary schools for all Americans.
