On Tuesday, 22 December 2015, workers of Parsian Refinery in Mehr County of Fars Province gathered to protest the unclear situation of their employment.
Protestors stated: “Four years ago… our terms of employment changed from contract workers to direct workers, which resulted in the elimination the middleman and the contracting firm, but our salary and some dividends has remained vague and uncertain ever since.”
Mehr County is 25 kilometers from Asalouyeh in Fars Province and has a hot and intolerable climate much like Asalouyeh with workers of the refinery deprived of their least dividends.
