Al-Babeliya TV- 21 January 2011- In a conference titled “After Sanctions and Engagement What Must Be Done with Iran? ” former US officials said that the Iranian opposition must be supported and the PMOI be delisted from the US State Department Foreign Terrorist Organization list so that the opposition’s activities can increase inside Iran and abroad.

Tom Ridge, former US Homeland Security Secretary said that it is necessary that the PMOI be taken off the terrorist list and the Iranian opposition be supported. In this conference the support of the Iranian opposition and increasing pressure on Iran to halt its nuclear activities were underscored. Moreover, the necessity to prevent the regime’s financial and logistical support of armed groups and opposition parties in different Arab countries with the intension of creating instability in these countries was emphasized.
