Amnesty International: Iran Criminal Cover-Up- Destroying mass graves of Victims of 1988 Killings

For nearly three decades, the Iranian authorities have systematically concealed the whereabouts of thousands of political prisoners, including prisoners of conscience, who were forcibly disappeared and extrajudicially executed in summer of 1988.
An important new report today by Amnesty International and “Justice for Iran” says Iran regime is deliberately destroying mass graves of victims of the #1988Massacre of political prisoners.
Bulldozing, road construction, mass rubbish dumping, and new burial plots used to compromise and destroy mass graves
Iranian authorities deliberately eradicating vital forensic evidence that could hamper the rights to truth, justice, and reparations.
There may be more than 120 locations across Iran that contain the remains of the victims of the 1988 massacre.
This report estimates that at least 4,000-5,000 people were secretly buried in mass graves after bloody 1988 massacre. The opposition estimation is over 30,000 executions, mostly from the PMOI.
