Iraqi Kurdistan Pishmarga Ministry deputy announced his forces are ready to confront any attack by forces affiliated to Nouri Maliki’s government, al-Sharqiya TV reported citing the Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party official daily Khebat.
Anwar Haj Othman stressed the Kurds are not seeking war, adding although his ministry is ready to stand before any attack. However, he added he expects relations between Baghdad and Arbil to not reach such a point.
