Workers of the Jahan Fars Company, south of the city of Daylam in Bushehr Province (southern Iran) went on strike in protest to delayed wages, closing a number of roads leading to this city. According to incoming reports, after 8 months of delaying wages by the Jahan Fars Co. employers, over 1700 workers went on a widespread strike. Most of these workers reside in the city of Daylam.

Before this, thousands of workers of this company during the past months staged various strikes and protests due to months of unpaid wages.
