An Iranian opposition camp in Baghdad international airport was targeted by heavy rocket attacks on Thursday evening resulting in a number of deaths the Al-Arabia media reported.

Camp Liberty is a former US military base housing members of the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (MEK).

A MEK spokesman said the attack was the worst to have targeted the camp so far. He claimed that several people were killed in the attack.

“We were in our housing trailers when missiles started to fall… Not everybody managed to take shelter,” he said.
