The Hill – 11/15/15 – Speaker Paul Ryan on Sunday ordered flags at the Capitol to be flown at half-staff, to honor the 129 people killed in Paris on Friday. 
“Out of respect and solidarity, I have ordered that flags at the Capitol be flown at half-staff in honor of the victims of the Paris attacks,” Ryan (R-Wis.) said in a brief statement on Sunday morning.
The decision comes after a series of coordinated attacks in the French capital that killed 129 people and injured hundreds more.
At least one American was among those killed in the violence, which has been blamed on the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
