Group executions continue in Iran reaching 178 after sham election

Receiving Rouhani at General Assembly concurrent with group executions is ridiculing human rights, democracy and justice in our world today

At dawn of Tuesday, September 24, on the same day that Mullah Rouhani will be present at the UN General Assembly, the clerical regime hanged four prisoners in Kerman. Similarly, in a savage act the day before, an 18 year old who had been in prison since 14 was executed in Kazeroon.
In previous days as well, 23 prisoners were hanged in prisons of Zahedan, Yazd, Tonekabon and Gohardasht prison. Hence, the number of registered executions following June 14 sham presidential election reaches 178. This is while thousands of prisoners in Tehran and other cities in the country, including 3000 in Ghezel Hessar prison and 300 in Dieselabad prison of Kermanshah are on the death row.
Welcoming president of the religious fascism ruling Iran at the UN General Assembly concurrent with the group and arbitrary executions in Iran is ridiculing human rights, democracy and justice in our world today.
In circumstances where 100 days after the sham election, in addition to increasing executions, the religious fascism ruling Iran has added dimensions to its participation in the massacre of Syrian people and its atomic projects, any heightening of the illusion of moderation in this medieval regime is only against human rights and democracy in Iran, against peace and tranquility in the region, and breach of fundamental and universal values that United Nations has been built on.
