Iran imprisons 20 volunteers for providing aid to earthquake victims

The mullahs’ regime prosecuted and jailed 20 youths who had voluntarily rushed to the aid of Iran’s Azerbaijan earthquake victims, Gutas TV reported on Monday.
The mullahs’ condemned a group of these youths on charges of ‘gathering and plotting against state security’ and ‘propaganda measures against the establishment’. These individuals were sentenced to 18 years behind bars.
Their lawyer has said assisting earthquake victims is not considered a crime anywhere in the world, and arresting volunteers who provided help has no legal justification.
