Iraqi MP Salim al-Jabouri from the Iraqiya Coalition and Chairman of the Parliament Human Rights Commission said his country is facing an ‘explosion’ soon.
“In the demonstrations in al-Anbar, Salahaddin and Mosul, in a new development a group of Iraq’s society has spoken its mind very clearly,” he said in an interview with Al-Jazeera TV.
“Before the demonstration began we said if reforms are not made we will face a popular explosion,” he added.
“If the government does not respond to the people’s demands in a true and active manner, we will reach a point that we will not be able to control people’s demands,” al-Jabouri added.
