Iran, March, 10, 2018 – “Chahar Shanbe Soori”, or the festival of fire, which marks the last Wednesday of the Persian calendar year, and is celebrated by jumping over clusters of fire, and cracking fireworks, is one of the oldest Iranian rituals and ceremonies that has survived throughout centuries in Iran and other countries of Arian descent, due to its popular character.
If we take a deeper look at these popular rituals, a common message can be seen in all of them: to fight the evil, and to take the side of the goodness. Since ancient times, fire has always been a symbol of struggle against the cold, darkness and the rule of evil, throughout Iranian culture, and has thus been respected and preserved its high value in the “Fire Festival”. The motto of the ancient Iranian faith was “kind speech, kind thoughts, and kind deeds”, and this motto must be kept alive.

But if an Iranian youngster born during the Mullahs’ era, asks me about what I mean to say by all these introductory notes, I will simply reply in a transparent way by saying that, as Iranians, we get our identities most and foremost from our Iranian heritage, and we must therefore defend this identity. We must defend our identity against those who try to strip it away from us: thugs know nothing about Iranian characteristics of dignity, honor and humanity. They have created a regime that is neither a republic, nor Islamic; it is neither Iranian nor has been elected by the Iranian people, and it doesn’t have any roots in the Iranian society.
The mullahs are thugs who have confiscated all of Iran’s treasures for their own interests, and those of their families and mercenaries, and have driven more than 80 percent of Iran’s population under the line of poverty as a result. That is the reason why we should line up against them and defend our identity and heritage. We must defend freedom and organize any activity geared in that direction. We must unite hand in hand with all supporters of freedom, and overthrow Iran’s enemies (the Mullahs.)

Freedom is our right. Our Iranian identity is our right, and this identity must be kept intact. Let’s fuel up the uprising in the upcoming “Festival of Fire”, and welcome the spring.
Freedom is a god given blessing, and every human being has a right to it. The Iranian people have been deprived of this essential right. The people’s right to govern themselves has been turned into a religious tyranny. The Iranian people will therefore use all opportunities, including the “Festival of Fire”, as a unique opportunity to express their opposition and move to topple the Mullahs in Iran.
