A group of college students in Bushehr and Mashhad universities issued statements calling on their fellow classmates and all Iranians to turn the upcoming annual Fire Festival – held on the last Wednesday eve of the year – into widespread anti-regime protests across the country.
“Along with various people from all walks of life in Iran, we will participate in these national festivities and turn it into protest rallies against the dictator mullahs,” this statement reads. “The annual Fire Festival is a good opportunity to torch pictures of Khamenei, the devil himself.”
