The London-based al-Hayat daily reported on Tuesday, September 1st citing sources close to the Aden governor revealing that security forces on Monday arrested 12 individuals on charges of attempting to plot sabotage attacks in liberated areas of southern Yemen.
These individuals possessed advanced equipment to maintain contact between Sana’a and Tehran.
Reports indicate the commander of this busted group is a member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.
Authorities in Yemen confiscated their weapons along with maps of the city of Aden.
Obtained documents show the group’s Houthi chief receives his orders from his Iranian commander.
These sources added the elements of this group lived in a villa in the “Green Zone” of Aden and they had obtained IDs with fake names from the central government under Houthis’ control.
