In a telegram to the United Nations Secretary General, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, condemned the attack against the office of the United Nations in Baghdad that left a number of its personnel killed or wounded. She extended her condolences to the bereaved families and wished quick recovery for the injured.

Mrs. Rajavi added that this inhuman attempt is the desperate reaction of the enemies of a democratic and secure Iraq carried out the day after the security pact was approved by the Iraqi parliament.

Simultaneous with this criminal attack, “Jomhouri Eslami”, the Iranian state-run daily affiliated to Khamenei, called the approval of security pact a black mark in the history of Iraq.
