25th day of Iranians’ sit-in in New York in defense of Ashraf residents

On the 25th day of the sit-in by Iranians and Ashraf residents’ families in front of the UN headquarters in New York, Mr. Saber Rostam Khanli, deputy Parliament speaker of the Republic of Azerbaijan, delivered his speech. He said: I am a poet and a Parliament representative. Today a religious dictatorship rules Tehran which has taken all freedoms from the Iranian people. Nobody has freedom in Iran, neither Fars, nor Baluchis, nor Azeris, nor Kurds.

The next speaker was Reverend Lloyd Land from First United Christian Church who said in his speech: The Ashraf residents struggle for attaining democracy and freedom in Iran and for establishment of a democratic state. I ask here, from outside the UN whether it is legal that these freedom fighters be left unprotected against mullahs’ regime that we are aware of its beliefs? If such a measure takes place against Ashraf residents , it would be a human tragedy; thus, the wise, logical and legal way is the protection of these freedom fighters by the United States government and MNF-I. This would be a big “No” to Ahmadinejad and mullahs ruling Iran.

An exhibition of human rights violation by the clerical regime was set up in the sit-in that attracted the visitors.
